Update 10/26/10

Hey everyone!!

Life in P-town is going well. Hope things are going well for you in your neck of the woods. Here's the latest.

So the other day I bought a whole crate of apples. I finally finished the last of them off using a friends dehydrator. After pies, caramel apples, apple crisp, and apple chips, my apple binge is finally over. Tomorrow I think I'll go buy some pears. : )

I finally followed through with the final steps of registering for my scuba class this November. I'm excited to see how it goes although I have homework, something I haven't had to deal with for a while. : O Looks like its pretty easy reading so things shouldn't be too bad.

Saturday was frustrating since I slept through the most exciting parts planned for my day (Self defense workshop, Food Bank Halloween Trick or Treat Activity, First quarter of the BYU football game. The second half of the game was alright. Later Saturday night I went on an impromptu date to a talent show which was fun.

Last night was one of the craziest nights of work for me ever. There was a huge storm and the power went out in the lab. It was pitch black for about 10 seconds until the alternative power source turned on. Then all my analyzers went crazy. My coworker and I made a make shift cover for an alarm that was going CRAZY for the histology department (sounded like a fire alarm) that security didn't know how to turn off. After an hour things got working again except for the tube system... plus everyone showed up late for work so it made for a long morning.

I carved a pumpkin tonight. It has a Christmas Tree and Santa on the front. I'm such a nerd. ^_^

Well, that's really about all. Need to take care of some other odds and ends. This weekend is Halloween so my next entry will be 100% more exciting, promise!

Jill
