Hello Readers
To make things more interesting, I've decided to include my weekly e-mail updates on this blog. I guess these are the sorts of things that end up on most family type blogs so it probably ought to be included. I'll still have other random updates, but this'll be just to mix things up. Thats all.
Hello friends and family!
Another crazy week has come and gone in the life of Jill Schuler. Here are the highlights.
I've been doing a lot of preparations for Halloween. Yesterday my roommates and I decked the apartment with spiders, bugs, ghosts, skeletons, etc. I finally picked out what I want to be for Halloween: a garden gnome. I got some supplies for the costume and I think its going to turn out looking pretty sweet. I also registered for a Haunted Half Marathon so hopefully I'll get some pictures of me running in that costume sent to you guys after Oct 30th.
Friday night I went to a Murder Mystery B-day Bash for one of my friends. She had it at her grandparent's cabin which gave me an autumn craving since the leaves were SOOO gorgeous in the canyon. I felt a little over dressed (less than half of the people bothered to dress up... lame) but the party was fun regardless. I got killed off pretty early because I got the "lovers" role and my co-lover was doing a bad job keeping herself inconspicuous... Later that night my friends and I watched the film "The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra", a parady of old Sci-Fi flicks that made me laugh until my stomach hurt.
Saturday I participated in the "Race for Jess" a 5k dedicated to Jess Wilson, my friend who got killed by a car about a month ago. It was one of those events where you see tons of friends you weren't expecting to see which made me happy. The memorial afterwards was beautiful and it was nice to have some closure to everything. That afternoon I had a failed Mary Poppins party with some friends (the cd from the library was scratched...), went to Red Robin for dinner, and visited Laura Crenshaw, a dear friend who I hadn't seen in forever.
Have a nice week everyone!!
Jill
