Actively Fighting Pessimism

I've been feeling kind of worn down as of late so in an effort to keep myself motivated, I'm going to right down the first thirty things that pop into my head about things in my life that are really awesome.

1. I'm going to Guatemala in a month. I'll get to go scuba diving in the ocean and do medical testing for future missionaries.
2. I have a garden in my backyard. Sure, my plants are struggling, but I can buy new dirt and seeds and my radishes were sickly before I planted them outside and they aren't my favorite anyways.
3. I am 5'2". All of the tall girls can be envious of my ability to dance with all of the short men with moves.
4. I inherited fabric which I'm turning into a quilt and it's looking nice. I'm glad quilting is significantly more fun than reading books about quilters.
5. Ridiculously cute moose puppet my friend Deseret gave me.
6. Pie. I still have apple pie in the fridge. It won a medal at FHE last night so its a VERY good pie. Pi day is a good thing to celebrate.
7. I have my own home and don't have to play the vagabond anymore.
8. I'm going to dance this weekend and I'm excited about it.
9. I still have movie passes. I might get myself up and go see the Lorax or something just because I can.
10. I love the smell of citrus blossoms and they are in full bloom EVERYWHERE right now.
11. I have a nice sewing machine that threads the needle. It's one of the coolest adult toys I own.
12. I have a great home teacher that let me break into his house so I could borrow his power drill.
13. I live close to the temple. It's further than Provo's was but its still close enough for me to go about one a week or every other week.
14. People don't mind that I sing at work all of the time.
15. I save lives for a living.
16. I have an awesome family.
17. I have the internet. My need to know everything is fed when I can google search questions like "How does one make homemade marshmallows?"
18. I have a healthy body. I can run and dance and hike mountains.
19. Carpet. I love the fact that homes in our day and age have clean, soft carpets instead of hard dirt floors.
20. I have friends who like to visit me and invite me to do stuff.
21. I have glow sticks.
22. I have money so I can afford to buy more glowsticks.
23. I can live by myself and feel safe. Not every country has deadbolts, the right to bare arms, or a reliable police department.
24. I live in a relatively parasite free environment. I don't have to worry about tape worms or hook worms or malaria or stuff like that.
25. I had the chance to get a good education.
26. I have access to a library. I can watch all sorts of movies and read all sorts of books for FREE!
27. I am a little bit crazy sometimes but people love me anyways.
28. Harry Potter. Those are good books.
29. Sunshine. I love the sunshine.
30. The Gospel of Jesus Christ because it helps me keep my life in perspective.

Okay, now I'm going to go finish my errands. I just wanted to take a moment to cleanse myself from the negativity from work being messy, my house being messy, my car being messy, my dating life messy, etc. My life is good.
