I don't know why but lots of people at church and work keep giving me, what I feel, are exaggerated praise. People said nice things to me in Utah, but I feel like its gone up a notch out here... What they say is true in a sense, but not to the degree they declare.
Examples of what people have said
1. You should audition for America Idol. You sound like an angel.
2. I need you to teach me to draw. I can't believe you whipped that out of no where. That's a rare gift.
3. The pathologist said you're smart. He doesn't give complements out lightly so take that for what its worth.
What Jill thinks about it
1. I have a fine enough voice but I certainly wouldn't say I could go professional. I don't project well and frankly I have no ambition for fame on the stage.
2. I'm that sinner that's doodling during church every Sunday. They're cute but I certainly wouldn't make it into an illustration or animation program.
3. Do you remember that time we read "Nurture Shock" at book group? Yeah... I'm pretty sure Dr. Valdez ought to say "Jill has good vision. She found that bacteria in the middle of no where."
Well, this doodling, compulsively singing, Med Tech needs to go to work. Hopefully it'll be slow because of the holiday and I can finish my Sysmex training... :P
