Awkward Moment

So I was at this fireside featuring Elder Perry. Out of the blue I notice a fly. A large, nasty looking old house fly had landed on the head of the guy in front of me. Being the kind hearted person I decided I'd shoo the fly away. Flies are disease ridden vectors of disease after all.

So I take my pencil and inch it towards the fly. I'm inches away from his head when I realize how strange it would look if he noticed, turned around to find a strange girl poking at his head with her pencil while he is trying to learn about being a Christian example. The fly seems entirely unperturbed. The inches vanish and suddenly I'm less than a centimeter away from the bug. I am afraid I'm going to poke the guy's head but I finally get the fly to move.

Then, it comes swarming to my face. I pull a "WHAT THE?!?" arm flail that had the whole row behind me snickering (according to my roommates. Apparently they were enjoying the show.... I had no idea). The fly makes for the guy's head again but I manage to swat enough so that it flew off into oblivion.

Breakfast Food

I have weird breakfasts sometimes. Not weird as in you wouldn't eat them during the day, but I certainly don't stick to just cereal and milk like I used to. Here are a few of the latest meals.

-Asparagus. Just asparagus steamed with a little butter, salt, and pepper. I'm eating it right now actually.
-Pastrami sandwich, hogi style.
-Cafe Rio leftovers. This might be my current favorite breakfast food although I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to persuade Cafe Rio to ever open early enough for me to get it fresh.
-Chile.
-Chicken Spinach pasta.
-Chicken Noodle Soup.
-Peanutbutter Banana Sandwich.

I hope the man I someday marry will be understanding...

Bruce, Haagan Daaz, and Dating

So today I went out with Bruce, my 2009 Toyota Corolla Sport, to make sure his breaks were okay. I'm glad my car was all A-OK despite the recall. I'm rather fond of my car. I've recently gotten into a habit of putting on my gloves, rolling down the windows, and blasting music as I drive around Provo. I find it exhilarating enough that I ignore the looks I get from people.

After the inspection I went to Walmart and picked up a few odds and ends. I have a new love for "Five Vanilla Bean" Hagan Daaz. I bought the most fantastic mango I've eaten in months. A $10 bouquet for $3 that had 2 bad stems of mums which will probably last a good week if I take care of them. The best find, however, were kites for $1. I am excited to drag a friend to a park or field with me and see Spiderman and Buzz Lightyear compete for highest "falling with style".

I went to my usual dancing tonight only to discover that we had no speakers. As a result I left club still craving a really solid dance. On top of that some boy I hardly know at all asked for my number. He seemed harmless enough so I gave it to him but as I continued talking to him I kind of regretted it. He gave off the "I'm REALLY into you although I hardly know you" intense vibe. I should probably just drop it and give the poor guy a chance. However, I've become kind of overwhelmed with my dating life this semester. My roommates keep teasing me about how I get asked out on more dates then all of them combined (Jessi is in a relationship so clearly that's not true) and I honestly don't know what I'm doing that's inspiring them to ask me out all at once...

Well, back to reading SOPs. Its the last night of my work week and tomorrow'll be BUSY. Institute, taxes, clean fishbowl, kite flying, Activities committee errands, etc...
